Making sure that people have access to the most recent policies and procedures is a time-consuming and daunting task.  Through the Document Management System, Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust now has the ability to access the most up-to-date policies and procedures by alerting the authors of documents when their document is due for renewal a set amount of days before the renewal date.  Once the renewal date is reached, the document is taken offline for review and renewal and people will be informed when the updated document is available.

 

 

 

Skills Database and Staff DirectoryThe in-built Skills Database and Staff Directory enables people with specific skills to be quickly and easily found within the organisation.  You can search for staff by skills, profile, job description and department.

 

KPI & Report BuilderWith the KPI and Report Builder users can generate graphs, reports and charts by securely connecting Interact to existing databases. KPI Management reporting enables users to create 'management dashboards' of information from live data, for example, you can easily link to other ODBC compliant database and spreadsheets.  The intranet is also permission based so managers can only see information that is relevant to them.

 

Freedom of Information Act Area

Interact is an ideal tool for efficiently dealing with Freedom of Information requests.  The support desk can log the queries and a FAQs section is easily searchable.  One NHS Trust has gone a step further by enabling selected content, such as performance statistics and board meeting minutes,  to be directed from the intranet to the website via a secure extranet.
